Receiving a license of TransBar
Thank you for choosing the solution TransBar!
To obtain barcodes in your documents, you will need several things...
1) You will need TransBar software
- download the latest version, if not already done:
- install the TransBar software the traditional way:
- in Windows, run the installer. If the Windows session does not have administration rights, a message will ask you to enter the name of an administration session and its password
- on MacOS, move the application to the "Applications" folder or anywhere else on your computer or network, then create any aliases you wish to have

2) You will need a serial number and a license key
These informations are contained in the email delivering the license.
This number and this key are limited to a number of computers and for licensed codes.
To obtain operational barcodes, you will need to enter this number and this key in the "license management" tab of the TransBar software. This entry will delete the symbol "Demo" for licensed barcode symbologies, but keep posted for other unlicensed symbologies. Working barcode fonts will automatically substitute for previously installed trial barcode fonts
3) You will need technical documentation
The barcode technology requires attention to detail and accuracy, we advise you to refer as necessary to the documentation:
- "self-learning" mode explains, in a window added to the software TransBar, everything that appears on the screens of this software. This mode is enabled by default. It does not hinder the operation of the software. We recommend that you keep active as much as necessary and use it to discover the new features of TransBar 5
- "contextual help" mode takes these explanations when hovering over a point of these screens with the mouse
- the online documentation including many links are available in the software TransBar itself. We suggest you start by reading when you know nothing of barcode technology or a particular symbology.
Save your solution TransBar 5!
To deal with a malfunction of your computer, to receive a discount on any future update, or any other useful purpose, we recommend that you save by using your usual way, CD ROM or DVDROM, USB key, NAS or cloud server, or other:
- licensing information, serial number and key, or by saving the email delivery, or by copying and pasting these items into a text file
- TransBar software, knowing however that it is available on the Internet and receives regular updates and free minor. You will be notified of these updates as long as your computer is connected to the Internet, they do nothing to impede your previous work and we advise you to accept the download when you will be offered
- billing information that can facilitate the acquisition of any major upgrades or license extensions.
